Very significant was German Heidelberg's (#3)88-83 road victory against second-best Polish Legia . It was a key game for the second position in the league. MLP Academics Heidelberg players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American guard Michael Weathers (190-1997, college: SMU) nailed 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Osun Osunniyi (208-1998, college: Iowa St.) accounted for 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. MLP Academics Heidelberg's coach used entire bench in such tough game. American guard Jayvon Graves (191-1998, college: Buffalo) came up with 19 points and Andrzej Pluta (190-2000) added 9 points and 7 assists respectively for Legionisci in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Heidelberg (3-3) moved-up to second place, which they share with 8 other teams. Defending Polish champion Legia dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
